Clay is an innovation and growth strategy executive who held senior leadership roles at General Motors in corporate planning, competitive intelligence, strategy, alliance management, and technology commercialization.
As a founding member and Vice President of GM Ventures, he helped establish the company’s corporate venture capital organization and led commercialization due diligence for GM R&D’s internal startup program.
He currently advises mobility-technology startups and established companies and serves as an Executive Advisor to SRI International and a Lecturer in Management at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business.
